The Provident Bank employees and interns recently spent time at Lunch Break, a Monmouth County non-profit organization, assisting in providing life’s basic necessities - food, clothing and fellowship - for community members in need.

“It is refreshing to come across an organization who shares the same passion, dedication and support for their community as we do,” said Gwendolyn Love, Executive Director, Lunch Break. “We are very grateful to the team at The Provident Bank for their help in supplying the valuable staples for those in Monmouth County who aren’t as fortunate to have them already.”

In support of Lunch Break’s mission to alleviate hunger and promote self-sufficiency, The Provident Bank team participated in a number of activities to help lead those they serve to live healthier lifestyles. Volunteers spent the afternoon cleaning and preparing the kitchen and dining room for classes, organizing and sorting items in the clothing shop, and assisting customers in selecting groceries in their “Customer Choice” program.

Additionally, The Provident Bank donated 1,650 reusable tote bags and 425 infant onesies to the organization.
