Provident Bank and The Provident Bank Foundation were recognized with a Red Mill Museum Village 2016 Guardians of History Award at a gala benefit on Friday, Nov. 4 at Hawk Pointe Golf Club.

“The Provident Bank Foundation is committed to the communities that Provident Bank serves, and we are honored to receive recognition as a Guardian of History,” said Jane Kurek, Executive Director, The Provident Bank Foundation. “The Foundation is proud to invest in institutions such as The Red Mill Museum Village, which offers a healthy diversity of programs and well-rounded educational experiences for the residents of Hunterdon County.”

This award honors individuals and organizations that have helped to promote the rich history of Hunterdon County through volunteerism, public education and in-kind and monetary support.

Originally built in 1812 as a wool processing facility, The Red Mill Museum Village sits on 10 picturesque acres of land in Clinton, NJ. Through its 12 buildings, its permanent and rotating exhibitions (including a collection of 40,000 artifacts) and its ongoing educational/outreach programs, the Red Mill Museum Village seeks to preserve, maintain, and present to the public the social, agricultural, and industrial heritage of Hunterdon County and its surrounding area.
