“Not only is the Volunteer Challenge an ideal opportunity for us to demonstrate our corporate motto of ‘Commitment You Can Count On,’ but it also serves as a great team-building effort for our Lehigh Valley employees,” said June Webre, Regional President Lehigh Valley, Provident Bank. “To partner this year with the Volunteer Center as a premier sponsor and also the chairperson of the Volunteer Challenge was a natural match for us and represents everything that we stand for as the Valley’s neighborhood bank.”
This year, Provident Bank and The Provident Bank Foundation (PBF) jointly committed $7,500 as a Premier Sponsor of the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley’s 2017 Volunteer Challenge. In addition to the $7,500 in funding, the Bank also gave a $2,000 donation to Easton Area Neighborhood Center as part of its project, which was to complete a refresher on the Center’s Community Room. “Each year that we participate brings an increasing number of departments and branches together for what is always a fun and inspiring initiative,” adds Webre.
