Chen Joins Provident as Banking Center Manager
Simon Chen of Green Brook, N.J. has joined Provident Bank as Assistant Vice President, Banking Center Manager of the Edison branch. In this position, he will be responsible for developing and executing sales tactics, and managing the internal sales process, in addition to customer experience, regulatory compliance, and the operation of the branch. Chen is also responsible for the management and coaching of the staff, ensuring branch employees practice sound risk management and adhere to all policies and procedures of the bank.

Chen has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services and most recently was Vice President, Senior Manager, Branch Channel Management with CTBC Bank, USA, where he was responsible for the overall management of the retail banking function for an assigned market. Prior to that, he held similar positions with HSBC and J.P. Morgan Chase. Chen earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Electrical Engineering from City University of New York, and a Bachelor’s degree in Geological Sciences with a minor in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rangoon, Myanmar. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63 & 66, and NJ State Life, Accident & Health and Variable Annuity licenses.
