Provident Bank and Beacon Trust hosted a food drive and labeling party, where they collected more than 75 pounds of food to be distributed to schools and businesses throughout Essex, Hudson and Passaic counties support Table to Table’s “Bag a Lunch Help a Bunch” campaign. This year, 30 employees spent more than 50 hours volunteering, and also donated more than $300 for the organization.
“Helping Table to Table prepare for their “Bag a Lunch – Help a Bunch” Program was both rewarding and fun. The concept of food going to waste while people go to bed hungry is unthinkable. I was delighted to contribute to this worthy cause,” said Janet Krasowski, Chief Human Resources Officer, Provident Bank.
All food that Provident Bank employees donated to Table to Table was delivered to Strengthen Our Sisters (SOS). SOS is a shelter for women and children who have left domestic abuse situations. It is located in Wanaque, New Jersey.
