For the third consecutive year, Provident Bank is pleased to announce the Main Street sponsorship of the 34th annual Musikfest, one of the largest and most diverse music and food festivals in the United States.
This year’s Musikfest, which starts Friday, Aug. 4 and continues through Sunday, Aug. 13, is expected to draw more than 900,000 people to Lehigh Valley to see some 500-plus shows featuring musical artists including Santana, Toby Keith, CHICAGO, Aloe Blacc, Godsmack, The Band Perry and more.
“Each year Musikfest brings together people of all musical tastes for a celebration of music and community. This is a great opportunity for people to enjoy the summer, the outdoors, and to explore what makes our community so vibrant,” said Provident Bank President and CEO Chris Martin. “We look forward to our participation and continuing to show Provident’s more than 175-year commitment to the region.”
Provident Bank Main Street will stretch from the Central Moravian Church north to Broad Street and will offer Musikfest attendees an array of entertainment including free musical performances by street recitalists, refreshments, interactive activities and shopping.
In addition, Provident Bank team members will be onsite on Provident Bank Main Street (just outside of the historic Sun Inn) for all 10 days of the event from noon to 7 p.m., and will provide Musikfest attendees with additional entertainment including a magician and balloon artist, as well as information and promotional giveaways.
“We couldn’t be more excited to experience all of the fun and frenzy of Musikfest 2017,” said June Webre, Provident’s Regional President. “This year’s line-up is jam-packed with award-winning, talented musicians, and the food and beverage vendor list is nothing short of amazing, with many of our very own Provident fan-favorites.”
Founded in 1984 by ArtsQuest, Musikfest features more than 500 shows on 14 stages during 10 days, in addition to a collection of food vendors, artisans and a diverse array of family programming including crafts, visual art installations, rides and games, discovery workshops and a children’s Crayola Creativity Tent.
Admission to all Musikfest stages is free with the exception of Sands Steel Stage performances; tickets for all Sands Steel Stage concerts are on sale now.
