PERSONAL BANKING CHANGES COMING THIS FALL
Our core banking technology upgrade will enhance the way we manage your accounts and serve you every day. The upgrade will also result in changes to some of our banking services effective September 8, 2026.
Plan ahead for temporary service limitations over conversion weekend.
We encourage you to take care of any banking needs before the weekend, and we look forward to welcoming you to the new system on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
Account Agreement Updates
Information regarding updates to your account Terms & Conditions is available at provident.bank/consumertc. If you prefer a printed copy, please visit your local branch or contact our Customer Care Center at (800) 448-7768.
ATM Services
- Now through September 8, 2026, ATM functionality will be temporarily limited for customers with multiple checking or savings accounts. During this period, ATM access will be restricted to the primary checking and savings accounts linked to your debit card, and ATM deposits and PIN changes will not be available.
- If you need to change your primary accounts or PIN, you can visit your local branch or call our Customer Care Center at (800) 448-7768 for assistance. We understand these temporary changes may affect how you manage your accounts, and we appreciate your patience as we work to support a smooth experience.
Statements and Notices
- You will receive a one-time checking and savings account statement reflecting activity through Friday, September 4, 2026. If your account is interest bearing, accrued interest will be paid. Monthly service fees, if applicable, will not be charged. Other applicable service fees will be assessed.
- You may notice updates to the appearance of your statements, but you’ll continue to receive the important account information you rely on.
- For ATM transactions that are assessed a surcharge by the ATM owner, the fee amount will be reported separately from the transaction amount on your account statement rather than added to the withdrawal amount.
- If you have an Overdraft Line of Credit account, you will receive a separate billing statement for your account. It will no longer be consolidated with your checking account statement.
- Statements will be sent to the address we have on file for your accounts at the time of our systems upgrade. Please notify us of any address or seasonal address changes at the time of the change.
- For Statement Savings Accounts, statements will be delivered quarterly rather than monthly.
- You can always access your statements via ProvidentConnect Online Banking.
- You will continue to receive your account statement at approximately the same time each month. For the first statement produced after September 8, 2026, we will waive monthly service fees. If a paper statement fee applies to your account, that fee will not be waived.
- You will receive an annual HSA statement in addition to your monthly statement.
Cash Back Rewards
- Today, cash back posts the day after your statement cycle date. After September 8, 2026, it will be posted on your statement cycle date.
Transaction Cutoff Times
- ATM and POS transactions completed through 7:00 p.m. will be considered same-business day transactions. Transactions after that time will apply to the next business day.
Transaction History
- Transaction history for deposit accounts from January 1, 2026, through the system upgrade will transition to our new core banking platform, and we encourage you to download your full transaction history prior to January 1, 2026, for your records prior to September 4, 2026.
- You may see some changes in the descriptions of transactions when you view history in ProvidentConnect Online Banking starting September 8, 2026.
- Historical transactions for loans will not transition to our new platform and will not be available in ProvidentConnect Online Banking. We encourage you to download your full transaction history for loans for your records prior to September 4, 2026.
- Your IRA and HSA transactions history may be displayed differently. Rather than showing each individual transaction separately, transactions of the same type will be combined and displayed as a single total for each applicable tax year.
- If you require a copy of your transaction history, we’re here to help. You can request it by visiting your local branch or calling our Customer Care Center at (800) 448-7768. Large orders of statements may not be available the same day. If you choose to have the bank print these documents, please refer to your schedule of fees for any applicable charges.
Transaction Posting Order
- The order in which transactions post to your account is changing. When more than one transaction is processed on the same day, they will generally post in this order:
– Overdraft and returned item fees may be applied first
– Checks and other paper payments will be processed next
– Other account fees, such as maintenance or service fees, will be applied afterward - This posting order may be different from the order in which you made the transactions. Because of that, it may affect your account balance and any fees charged.
Available Balance Display
The available balance displayed in ProvidentConnect Online Banking for your checking account will no longer include the available balance of any linked line of credit or sweep account relationship.
Certificates of Deposit (CDs)
- Interest rates on CDs will move from a tiered structure to a single rate across all balances. This change does not affect your current CD interest rate or annual percentage yield (APY), which will remain in effect through your CD’s maturity.
- If you receive interest payments for your CDs by check, going forward you will receive individual checks for each CD. CD interest check payments will no longer be combined.
Safe Deposit Boxes
- All safe deposit box account numbers will be renumbered to identify your branch. No action is required on your part. This change will be reflected on your next billing notice following September 8, 2026.
- Your physical safe deposit box number is not changing and will be shown on your Provident billing notice.
- You can continue to use the same key(s) you received at account opening to access your safe deposit box.
- The location of your safe deposit box is not changing.
Loan Account Numbers
- Loan account numbers will be adjusted to include a five-digit loan note number. The additional five digits will follow your current account number (e.g., 00000123456-00001).
- You will see your updated loan account number on your first loan statement after September 8, 2026.
Loan Payments
We will retry posting payments to your loan accounts up to 10 times if the first attempt was unsuccessful due to insufficient funds in your payment account.
Home Equity Line of Credit and Insurance Lending Checks
- If you have used a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) check between August 31, 2025, and August 31, 2026, we will send you new HELOC checks.
- If you don’t currently have HELOC checks or have questions about accessing your Home Equity Line of Credit or Insurance Loan, please call our Customer Care Center at (800) 448-7768.
- After September 7, 2026, please destroy any older, unused checks in your possession.
Telephone Services
- To access automated telephone banking services beginning September 8, 2026, use the last four digits of your Social Security number as your PIN. The last four digits of your Social Security number is a temporary PIN. You will be prompted to change your PIN the first time you log in on or after September 8, 2026.

- If you are traveling internationally and want to activate your Provident Bank Debit card or want to change your debit card pin, please call 501-274-4280.
